WTL Design is proud to present Shokai Academy, a pioneering urban renewal complex developed in close collaboration with our client. This project redefines the concept of cultural space, forging a new path where heritage and modernity converge to activate the urban fabric.

The experience begins at the threshold with a striking, monumental gateway, sculpted in the form of a line-bound book. This arresting introduction opens into a dramatic two-story volume, setting the stage for a profound exploration of culture.

Within its nearly 1,000-square-meter footprint, Shokai Academy synthesizes a diverse program into a cohesive journey. The City Code Café, City Code Bookstore, and the Everyone’s Study offer spaces for connection and contemplation. These are complemented by the Urban Revival Lecture Hall and a dedicated Cultural Goods Gallery, which together serve as a dynamic platform for discourse and display.

At its heart, the academy is anchored by a historical and cultural exhibition, seamlessly weaving together the narrative of the capital’s development, Shokai’s own growth, and the rich tapestry of local culture. This is more than a building; it is a vibrant cultural nexus, designed to inspire, educate, and foster a deep sense of community.
